Poots Icon for Windows and Mac
This idea came to me out of the blue…why not change my Desktop Manager icon to Poots? Then *lightbulb!* Why not share it so everyone can have Poots on their desktop?!
I have made an icon for Windows and Mac that you can use to replace any program on your computer. I used the icon to change my Desktop Manager icon ->
But you can choose whatever program you want. Below I have gotten info on how to change the icon image on Windows and Mac. If any of the info is incorrect let me know so I can fix it.

To change an item’s icon to another one:
- Select the volume, application, folder, or file whose icon you want to stamp onto another, just click the icon to select it
- From the File menu, choose Get Info or press Command-I to open the Info window.
- Click the icon in the upper-left corner of the Info window to select it.
- From the Edit menu, choose Copy or press Command-C
- Select the volume, application, folder, or file whose icon you want to replace.
- From the File menu, choose Get Info or press Command-I.
- Click the icon in the upper-left corner
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste or press Command-V to replace the icon

How to change system icons
- Right-click your desktop, and then click Properties
- In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Desktop tab. Then click Customize Desktop
- On the General tab, click the icon you want to change. Then, click Change Icon
- Click the Browse button, and select the folder to which you saved your icons. Click the View Menu button, and then click Thumbnails
- Click the icon you want to use, and then click Open
- Click OK
How to change non-system icons
To change icons other than system icons
- Right-click the shortcut for which you want to change the icon, and then click Properties
- On the Shortcut tab in the non-system icon dialog box, click Change Icon
- Click the Browse button.
- Click the icon you want to use, and then click Open
- Click OK
Right click to download the files
