Beautiful Widgets Skin – Super Clock Light

Aug 16, 2011 by     8 Comments    Posted under: Android, Beautiful Widgets Skins

This skin is a slight variation of the Light skin for the Beautiful Widgets android app. This skin will work with the widget within the BW app called Super Clock. what you have to do is instead of putting the skin folder in /skin directory, you have to put it in the /scskin directory. So go ahead download and enjoy!

  • I have the Light home screen skin and love it! I was really excited to see that you made the SuperClock version too. So I just downloaded this one for the SuperClock. I have extracted and placed the file folder in /scskin directory, but when I go into BW SuperClock and choose a skin, the SuperClockLight skin does not show as an option.

    Not sure why? Any help?

    Thanks,

    • Hm not sure why it isn’t showing up in your SuperClock skins list. Are you sure the folder you placed in the scskins directory is just the folder with the images inside of it? Not a folder containing another folder that has the images.

      • Thanks for the response. I checked the folder with a folder and that is not it. And yes I am using the scskins folder. I regularly DL other SC skins via Beautiful widgets and they are in that same folder and they show up.

One thing I did note, the SC skins that I downloaded via BW, those folders have 19 files while the SuperClock Light folder has 18 files. Is there a necessary file missing? Just a thought.

        Any other ideas?

        • Wait! Scratch that last observation. My fault. It seems they all have 19 files. So back to square one. On a lark I DL via my PC and then extracted and then placed the file in the scskins folder. Same result.

          I’m stumped.

  • I preface this with the fact that I am not a coder. But I have been examining my superclock skins that I have DL from within BW vs. your file. In your “SuperClockLight” folder, I noticed that the “Light.jpg” file does not match the name of the file. Does that matter? In all of my other DL skins, that .jpg file always seems to match the name of the actual file.

Again, I do not do code and am not a programmer. I enjoy your work and love your homescreen Light skin and really want to get this to work as I like the options with the super clock.

    Let me know.

    tThanks and keep them coming!!

  • Bingo! I went in and changed the .jpg file name to match the folder’s name and it works!! Looks great. Thanks!

    • Wow I thought I had changed that file name! I’ll have to do that so no one gets the same error thanks for catching that :)

  • Glad to have helped. But I am more glad (gladder??) to have the actual SuperClock skin. It is by far a great skin.

Keep up the good work! BTW, any chance of getting the clock numbers in white?

    Thanks!
