10 Questions with Pootermobile – Rezn
Here at TWP we always try to bring you something different. Whether it be fun, unique themes, or giveaways and contest, there is always an atmosphere of fun and good times. This is the mindset for a new section here that will be called “10 Questions with Pootermobile.” The point is to ask someone in the BlackBerry community 10 questions related to BlackBerry, about themselves, and random stuff.
The first person I asked to participate was Rezn owner of Berryfication.com, a website dedicated to reviewing themes and apps, and he gladly accepted. So I’ll stop my rambling and get to the Q&A!
Android Section at The World of Pootermobile
Whaaaaaat? Yes indeed! As some of you may know here at TWP there is a love for all things tech, and yes including Android. Does this mean theme development for BlackBerry will end at The World of Pootermobile? Absolutely not! This new section at TWP will be featuring, at first, skins you can download for the Beautiful Widgets app. Then later on when I am able to I will be posting themes for Android as well.
The only thing I ask you is to be supportive and let your Android friends know of the new section here. So to check out the new section simply click HERE or click the tab at the top of the site that says “Android.”
And with this new section there has to be a new mascot right? So what I want from you guys is to give me a name for the Android mascot here at TWP. There’s a contest going on HERE so feel free to join in the fun!
Thank you all for the support
stay awesome!

I have made an icon for Windows and Mac that you can use to replace any program on your computer. I used the icon to change my Desktop Manager icon ->
But you can choose whatever program you want. Below I have gotten info on how to change the icon image on Windows and Mac. If any of the info is incorrect let me know so I can fix it.

Help! Poots is missing!
Noooooo!! Poots has gone missing! I hadn’t seen him in a while but after not returning my texts or calls I got worried. Last I saw of Poots he was here at TWP and he said he was gonna hang out with some FRIENDS (hint hint
he’s nowhere near TWP) Anyway I need your help so I
can find my buddy Poots.
RULES
The first 10 people to tell me where Poots is in a comment on this post will get a reward. Comments will be hidden until the end of the contest so nobody can cheat off of someone’s post. Thanks to @rfosta for the contest idea (he just gave me the idea he didn’t have anything to do with the preparing of the contest so he is eligible to win).
Sorry for the confusion…the image you are going to be looking for is just like the one on the top of this post. Not the image in the Pooter PRO 2 banner.
Ok guys I have to admit this was pretty hard. And not one person has yet to find Poots! Sooooooo I have decided to narrow down your search to one specific website. Go to http://www.wjddesigns.com Poots is sure to be somewhere around there
The contest has ended! Sadly only 8 people out of the possible 10 people found him ![]()

Theme Builder Update for BlackBerry Torch!
Just like with most leaked photos this blurry picture, leaked by @rezn over at twitter, gives us theme developers a glimpse of the update to the Theme Builder for support for the Torch 9800. Rezn told me he knows someone who has it so it might be in the beta testing phase. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to start making themes for the Torch and experiment what is possible with Blackberry 6. As with “leaked” info it is obviously not concrete so don’t take this as fact.
Say Hello to Poots!
Introducing TWP’s mascot Poots! While making the Yolks wallpapers some people suggested I make some sort of Blackberry cartoon characters. At first I thought it would be a cool idea but somehow put it in the back burner. Suddenly one day I was inspired to try to make a little Blackberry. The result was the little guy you see up there
Yes he looks like an itouch he just came out like that. I didn’t want to make an exact replica for copyright reasons and what not. So there you have it your TWP’s very own mascot! Check out the first walls available of Poots in the wallpaper section HERE!
Blackberry 6 Calendar Icon
With all the tumult of Blackberry 6 coming loaded on the new Blackberry 9800, and that the 9650 is able to run Blackberry 6, or whether the Bold 9700 and Storm 2 will be able to run it, and all the cool new features Blackberry 6 will have, people seemed to have missed a cool little feature. Whew that was a long sentence!
When news of Blackberry 6 was barely coming out I saw a post somewhere that talked about the calendar icon. It was thought that the number inside of the icon changed according to the actual date. But the notion was pushed aside because of the infancy of the OS.
Now that the leaks are appearing left and right with videos, screenshots, and pictures of the devices running Blackberry 6 the little calendar icon seems to have been forgotten, but not by this Blackberry addict! I started to investigate this notion and found out something quite interesting.
In the pics above there is a screenshot that is posted at the Blackberry blog and a pic from Driphter.com that show different numbers inside the calendar icon which correspond with the actual days date! This is a small yet cool feature that RIM has implemented in Blackberry 6. Ah! But you might say those are just pics that doesn’t prove anything! Well I have spoken to someone that has a 9800 running Blackberry 6 and they confirmed that the calendar icon does update with the day’s date.
So there you have it another cool feature in Blackberry 6 that some may have overlooked. Let me know what you think of this feature in the comments and about me posting something other than themes. Should I keep my mouth shut and just keep my day theme job?
UPDATE!
So with all the news about the unveiling of the 9800 and Blackberry 6 I was sure I was going to see someone mention the calendar icon that updates aaaaaaand yes finally! While I was watching Kevin from crackberry.com’s overview of the 9800 he mentioned the calendar icon that had the day’s date! How awesome is that!
