Rubus – Scientific Name For BlackBerry
With the operating system BlackBerry 6 now available for more devices besides the Torch came new themes for those devices running BlackBerry 6. With the new OS came new and welcome features. One of them being Universal Search. With Rubus you can easily open universal search by simply clicking the search icon on the top right corner just as you would with the default BlackBerry 6 theme. Not many, if any at all, themes have this function on the homescreen. Another innovative design in Rubus is the addition of “widgets” where you can add and remove the calendar, weather slot, and icons on the homescreen. Rubus feels more like an extension of the default theme and very much appealing to the eye.
- Customizable icons on homescreen – (5 for keyboard devices, 8 for touchscreen devices)
- Weather widget 1st position in the applications screen – (you need to download a free or paid weather application in order for the weather to appear on the homescreen)
- Widgets Options Page – click the options icon on the bottom left banner
- Universal search on homescreen – (only for devices running BlackBerry 6)

Trackpad on the homescreen for the Torch has been disabled because of a conflict in the Widgets page. I chose touchscreen functionality because the Torch is primarily a touchscreen device.
For trackball/pad devices: when clicking the button to go to the widgets screen from the main screen you must scroll left to focus on the buttons on the widgets page. When clicking the arrow to hide the widgets page to go to the homescreen you must scroll to the right to focus on the icons on the homescreen.

Premium Amor Theme
Ah yes it’s that time of year again. Where loved ones share with each other flowers and chocolates. But if you’re a BlackBerry nut like me you want to show your significant other how much you care for them with a gift for their BlackBerry. With this theme you not only have nice red colors to go with the holiday but also a spot on the homescreen to place a special message to your loved one. On the red banner your owner information will appear.
In order to change the owner info go to options/owner/change the text to whatever you want/save. For the changes to fully show on the homescreen turn all your connections off then on again.

Premium Blink Theme
Blink, you do this everyday and sometimes it goes unnoticed. Quite a simple gesture that if done the right way looks attractive, but on the screen of your BlackBerry? Yes! In Pootermobile’s last theme “Juice” Poots made his debut as a helper and giving you a tutorial on how to use the theme.
